About Compress Images
Reduce the file size of one or multiple images while preserving visual quality. Upload a batch of images and download them all at once as a ZIP archive.
- Input
- JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC
- Output
- Download the result in the format shown beside its filename. Batch ZIP is available only where the result area offers it.
- Processing
- The current implementation processes the selected files on this device. Processing libraries, language data or models may be downloaded separately; these resource requests do not require uploading the selected file.
- Limits and behavior
- The compressor caps the longest edge at 1920px. Quality starts at 80 and target size at 1MB; reaching the requested size is not guaranteed. File capacity depends on device memory and input encoding. Large or unsupported files can fail; encrypted PDFs may need to be unlocked before use. There is no site-wide file-size guarantee.
Available settings and defaults
- Image quality percentage — lower value means smaller file size: Default 80
- Maximum output file size per image in megabytes: Default 1
